METU Summer school- 2026

In August 2026, we organised our Summer School for the third time, designed for university students and recent graduates, particularly those considering pursuing a Master’s degree in the future.

The aim of the programme was to give participants an insight into our English-language programmes, introduce them to further study opportunities, and allow them to experience what it is like to study in an international university environment. The academic sessions took place every morning between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, with a different lecturer presenting their respective field of expertise and academic area each day.

In addition to the academic programme, participants had the opportunity to explore Budapest through a variety of organised cultural and social activities in the afternoons. The programme included, among other activities, a Danube river cruise and sightseeing tours covering some of Budapest's most popular locations, including Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Gellért Hill, the city centre, St. Stephen's Basilica, Heroes' Square and City Park, as well as a visit to Madame Tussauds Budapest.

A truly international, active and enthusiastic group spent several meaningful days together, and we hope that the programme provided participants not only with an enjoyable experience, but also with inspiration and valuable experiences for their next academic step.
